Summary

A big-budget, colourful adaptation of Sinclair Lewis’s 1927 novel by Richard Brooks (In Cold Blood, The Professionals), this is a study of a salesman-turned-preacher (Burt Lancaster) who thrives and prospers with a revivalist tent show – but his own temptations threaten to get the best of him.
