Summary

One part Orwellian nightmare and one part generic action flick, this film tells the story of a con offered a pardon if he can rescue the U.S. president from the futuristic prison island of Manhattan. The film’s socio-political commentary is interesting enough for viewers to forget the otherwise generic plot.
