Summary

Beaumarchais-- playwright, judge, inventor, diplomat, playboy, spy, arms dealer--was a fascinating, complex 18th century Frenchman. While showing his deeds and speaking his words, this film sadly doesn't take the time to tie them together into a unified, coherent film.
