Summary

Mel Gibson’s story of Jesus’ final hours maintains a near-constant focus on his torture at the hands of Romans and fellow Jews. James Caviezel plays Jesus in this extremely violent depiction. In addition to directing, Gibson also co-wrote the script, which is entirely in Hebrew, Latin and Aramaic.
