Summary

Werner Herzog’s finest film, this is one of the great, mad visions of cinema. It recounts the legend of a doomed expedition of Spanish conquistadors searching for El Dorado. It’s a travelogue crossed with a hallucinatory nightmare, presented with the raw power of a documentary.
