Summary

Paul Newman plays a young and ambitious American physicist who defects to East Germany in order to share military secrets. Or does he? This minor Hitchcock thriller has its moments, but is weighed down by unconvincing work by Newman and Julie Andrews and an unexpectedly conventional final reel.
