Summary

Don Birnam (Ray Milland) is a would-be writer, a nice guy, and an alcoholic. This harshly realistic portrayal of a disastrous weekend is a memorable film with a strong lead performance and an utterly credible look. This is a 1940s drama that’s as watchable today as it ever was.
