Men of Honor

Summary

This truth-based film about Navy diver Carl Brashear has a compelling story to tell but fails because it’s self-important, overly simplistic and plain boring. Decent performances by Cuba Gooding Jr. and Robert De Niro can’t make up for the one-dimensional characters and predictable manipulations.
