Summary

Jennifer Jones stars as the “half-breed” torn between two brothers in David O. Selznick’s messy, sprawling attempt to create a Western epic equivalent to Gone With the Wind. He fails to create a classic story, but succeeds at creating a spectacle that’s bizarre, overwrought and undeniably compelling.
