Summary

Mervyn LeRoy’s adaptation of Gypsy Rose Lee’s memoir of life with her larger-than-life stage mother is a Broadway musical brought to the screen. A Jule Styne/Stephen Sondheim score is at the centre of this production, which stars Rosalind Russell, Natalie Wood and Karl Walden.
