Summary

This loopy, off-kilter, often-dark comedy tells the story of Betty (Renee Zellweger), a small-town waitress whose unfulfilling life is interrupted by violence that causes her to depart on a journey in a different reality – she thinks she’s the ex-lover of a soap opera character and she’s dead-set on reuniting.
