Summary

New York maverick Abel Ferrara tries his hand at a studio sci-fi movie, with mixed results. Some viewers may object to the cardboard characters and sluggish pacing, but others will appreciate the uncompromising creepiness. The filmmaker is dead serious throughout, making it occasionally tedious but also genuinely scary.
