Summary

A young African-American lesbian sets out to make a film about an historic black actress who was known as ‘the Watermelon Woman’ in this enjoyable film by Cheryl Dunye. While there’s room for plenty of technical quibbles, it’s still a promising, enlightening and entertaining first feature.
