Summary

A pro football player (Jeff Bridges) loses his job and accepts a new one as an amateur sleuth in search of a bookie’s disappeared girlfriend (Rachel Ward). Romance, deception and betrayal follow, but none of it works because there’s too much here that simply isn’t believable.
