Summary

Bill Forsyth’s 1983 comedy is delightfully understated and typifies ‘quirky.’ It’s a wonderfully entertaining, quietly funny, sweet film about an American oil company dealmaker who arrives in small-town Scotland to make a land deal, only to be seduced by the place.
