Summary

The mother-daughter relationship is probed in this drama based on the Susan Minot novel of the same name. Directed by Lajos Koltai, the film stars two pairs of real mothers and daughters – Vanessa Redgrave and Natasha Richardson, and Meryl Streep and Mamie Gummer – playing a mother, daughter and the mother’s best friend at various stages in their lives.
