Summary

Sidney Poitier is back as detective Virgil Tibbs. This time, he’s investigating the murder of a San Francisco prostitute, and a preacher-friend of Tibbs is a prime suspect. Nowhere near as fascinating or intense of In the Heat of the Night, which inspired it, this is a competent crime drama.
