Summary

A down-and-out teenager (John Cusack) decides that life isn’t worth living after his girlfriend dumps him and thus he is “better off dead”. Although the plot is sweet and simple, the laughs are what make this movie stand out. It’s excellent 1980s teen-oriented entertainment.
