Summary

The vast Texas and Mexican rangeland is beautiful and the cowboy life seems wonderful, but director Billy Bob Thornton’s film starts to stumble once its storyline begins to unfold – and unravel. In addition to the visuals, the acting is solid, but not enough to push this effort over the top.
