Summary

Owen Wister's novel has again made it to film. This time, it's a small screen tale under the direction of actor/director, Bill Pullman. Gritty frontier life is made tangible, backed by stunning landscapes, good performances and attention to set detail. Unfortunately, compromises were made for the purposes of television.
